An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Investment team at Cabot Financial  in London on a permanent basis.  This is a hybrid role. 

Role Purpose

We are currently looking for an investment analyst to join the Investment Team and help us meet our deployment objectives while delivering attractive returns. Core duties within the team will involve working on asset portfolio sale processes, improving the evaluation approaches, performing statistical analysis by combining different data sources, supporting, and developing models using Python/SQL, creating and developing analytical tools in Azure-Cloud, performing sensitivity checks, running scenario analyses, producing quality deliverables and presenting investment opportunities to internal and external stakeholders.

As an investment analyst, you will report to the Head of the UK Investment Team, you will work side by side with a small team of other analysts. Your work will have a decisive impact across all the organization.

The Investment Team is a high-performance team that engages with many the internal and external stakeholders within the business to assess investment opportunities. They lead the preparation of the investment memorandums which contain investment recommendations and oversee presenting opportunities directly to Cabot´s Investment Committee.

·Help the team evaluate investment opportunities and present these to the group’s investment committee.

·Support building and developing quantitative models.

·Strong team player, shares knowledge, contributes ideas and supports other members of the team.

·Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

·Possesses the required analytical skills to solve issues with speed and efficiency.

·Used to working in a fast-paced evolving environment and coping well with tight deadlines.

·Maintains high-quality output and attention to detail in the deliverables even under pressure.

·Maintains strong awareness of regulatory concerns and manages confidential information with the highest standard of care. Has strong ethical grounds.

Key Skills Required:

·Quantitative degree (e.g. engineering, economics, finance, mathematics) or equivalent experience.  

·CFA charter holder and/or Accountancy qualifications would be an advantage.  

·Prior professional experience in consulting firm, financial advisory firm, bank or an investment firm essential.

·Knowledge of Python, Azure Databricks (preferable), SQL and VBA.

·Extensive experience with office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

·Previous experience of non-performing loans (secured, unsecured) is preferable but not essential.
